*URGENT* PLEASE PLEASE help me find out how I find out if a divorce has taken place ?

My parents separated almost 20 years ago and have had no contact since. Mum wants to find out if he divorced her, sounds bizarre I know, but it's really really important that I get this info without him having any contact with me, or my Mum, preferably without him even knowing about it. Can you point me in the right direction please ?

I know his full name, DOB, last known address and where they married.

Do you know if he has stayed in the same area? If he has you can contact the local court to request a copy of divorce papers. Bit of a long shot though.

I think so, I have had nothing to do with him for 15 years, since I was a child.
