Right here's the problem. I'm staying at my mums in London over Easter, I have use of her car but no car seat for my 9 month old ds. Has anyone ever used one of these baby equipment rental places and if so could you recommend one? Please help - if we don't get a car seat we won't be able to escape!!

Can't you just use public transport?

izzyrubi · 11/04/2006 22:40

it's probably cheaper to buy one on ebay!

lilliput in batersea used to hire out things - they are a mine of information there too so if they don't they can probably tell you where you could hire from.

would a car rental firm rent one to you?

Tiptoppop · 11/04/2006 22:45

Don't really wanna do public transport cos I've got a 4 year old as well and we just wanna visit various friends around town. If I'd thought of it earlier I could've gone down the ebay route but we're gonna be there this weekend so I've left it too late I think. Ho hum...

a 4 yr ld should be alright in bus/train. dont know of any other ways but if youare traveliing in a car/plane etc it is not wise to put said child under you belt as it can crush them should an accident occur.
