I've got beige and its crunchy - vanish is the best stain remover I've used

My vax machine washes up my cream rug a treat (when I can be bothered).

We did too. They look awful in 6 months
Have ripped out the one in the living room and painted the floorboards

Am going to replace the one on the stairs and upstairs with a more sensible colour.

Go for an arty effect by pouring red wine all over it? (a kind of pre-emptive strike)

I've got very pale yellow carpet in my sitting room and a 17 month old... and yet it is still pristeen. Basically shoes aren't permitted, and if tea or coffee is drunk then a cup and saucer is used (not a mug) - because the saucer catches any drips of tea.....

We also don't do 'tv dinners' in there but either eat in the kitchen or dining room. That's all it takes.

If you do get a mark on your carpet use 1001 carpet cleaner.

I don't know how old your kids are - but can you give them 'sealed' non spill cups. I appreciate that if they are older they might not want these - but you can get funky beakers which are 'sealed' with integral wacky straw from Disney....(which an older child might be prepared to use)
