Buying presents for friends in Canada?

It's so expensive to send presents to Canada, can anyone recommend any Canadian websites that I can order from? I use Amazon.ca for the kids, which is fine, but I want to buy my friend gifts, if she was over here, I would by candles or handcream from The White Company or something from the cheaper less expensive end of the Jo Malone range.

Where in Canada? If you know her local mall, you might be able to get her a gift certificate sent, Crabtree and Evelyn is a very popular, Pottery Barn?

I've found amazon.ca brilliant but have also used various Canadian websites, none of them seem to have a problem with the ordering address being UK and delivery in Canada. I've not used the type of websites you'd be looking at (I've tended to be ordering bike and skiing equipment), I just type 'buy x online Canada' into google and it normally comes up with something useful.

M&S delivers out there.
The Bay do gift Certs online. (Nice HofF style store)

Definitely The Bay, or chapters.indigo.ca is good for books and gifty things!
