I seem to have started lots of threads today - just trying to get myself a bit organised!

My dad being the nice man he is (And my boss) has said that he will help me look into our financial situation for whilst i am on maternity leave.
I have put together a list of all of our monthly outgoings at present and also made note off increases in weekly shopping for nappies, milk etc.

It has just popped into my head about child benefit - i don't really know alot about it so wondered if there was somewhere i could look to see if i am entitled, how much, when etc.

Thanks in advance.

Everyone is entitled to child benefit - it is not means tested and is worth about 15 quid a week for first child I think.

There is also working tax credit and child tax credit that you can find out more about here

£16.05 a week, SC - look here

If you click on topics it will help you claim.

Childbenefit (used to be Family Allowance) is set at £16 per week for a 1st child.... dunno about 2nd, but I'm hoping to find out soon.

HTH.
