Anyone any advice? Can they be used on a ladies bike with a sloping crossbar? Zebrabra?

Thanks Smile

I used to go on one of these on my dads bike as a kid, I loved it. Not sure how you would fit it on a ladies tho. Why do you want a crossbar seat in particular? It makes pedally wuite hard and my dad used to moan that I fiddled with the brakes. Grin

Only because I'm looking into ways to get to school. My dd1's school is about 4 miles by road but I guess around a mile by foot or cycle. It's too far for dd2 to walk (and tbh, it's a bit deserted, I wouldn't really like to walk it) but cycling seems a possibility. DD1 can't ride a bike on her own yet, so I'm looking into all sorts of options such as trailers, trailer bikes or bike seats.

HI Orinoco -- I haven't actually used one. Agree am not sure you'd use one on a ladies' frame. There was a review in the Cyclists Touring Club magazine a few years ago talking about pluses and minuses. They were generally very positive, as I recall, although they may be less stable (higher Centre of gravity) than a seat over rear pannier.

you could \link{http://www.ctcforum.org.uk/\register to use the message boards on the ctc website} & ask around there, those people should know. hth.
