I have a new bike and I mean to use it. Tomorrow morning to get me to work very, very early.

There are two lots of gears. On the left handlebar it goes up to three. On the right it goes up to eight.

So what's all that about then? I never had those on my old trike.

Did you understand it? Sounds hellish complicated - probably one of those things that becomes clearer as you do it (and no, I haven't been on a bike since I was about 13).

I do understand it because I've just been out in the park with the bike wondering about which handle to use for which situation. Atm it's all in my brain and that needs to transfer. Luckily the roads will be empty when I set off in the morning so I can practise without causing an obstruction or raising a titter. Smile
