my bank says i am overdrawn but the payment isnt due out tilltomorrow and the date by the withdrawal aos says the 3rd?

so if i pop to town to pay it in tomorrow will i get charged?

do you mean if you pay it in in cash will you get charged? you shouldn't .. but I'd keep an eye on statement and phone them up if you do

Depends on the kindness of your bank.

Technically money for outgoing payments should be in your account at the start of the business day.

If you pay into your account in cash and ask the cashier to notify whoever authorises payments, you might get away with it.

they usually say if i pay it in in cash on the day it goes over then i dont get charged. just that its dated for the 3rd but is already saying i'm overdrawn.

You should be okay if you make sure you tell the cashier it is to cover the outgoing payment. And it would have to be cash.

It will probably be saying overdrawn now because it is already displaying 'morning entries' and has allowed for the payment going out.

Don't always rely on paying money in same day - it is one of the biggest ways that banks catch people out with charges. I had the dubious pleasure of bouncing items like this when I worked at NatWest.
