goodness gracious!!!! it goes to show what a poor fan i am (and i used to belong to archers addicts fan club! before babes of course!!!)... as i have missed several eps... (only just discovered that i can listen missed eps from radio 4 website!) and i didn't see the gambler alistair thing coming at all!

however i do love the social climbing of susan carter with her en suite bathroom and such!!! ha! ha! Neeeyul and Susan in the hot tub... goodness it could rival the classic sid and jolene in the shower!!!

Agree with you about Eddie Mair. He is brilliant on PM. Although I adore Fi Glover, if EM had to leave BH.
But Alistair is (was) so perfect, he was turning into a clone of Shula's first husband.
I have real drug addiction in my family and can't understand Alan's (?Alun's) naive attitudes at all!!

zeb, agree completely about Alistair being so bloody dull and worthy - never understood why she didn't pack it all in and go off with sexy northern doctor (except that then she couldn't have been in the Archers any more, obv!)

Ashok, I think, was a prospective husband introduced to Usha a couple of years ago by Aunty Satya. He went away and has come back. He's an "artist" and I think is planning to exhibit/ sell some work at Lower Loxley, as well as importing Indian artwork to sell in the UK.
