poor lad, looks really pale, quite hot, very tearful and just wants to go to bed (so I know he's not messing about).
I've got piles of clothes everywhere to pack, the house looks like there has been a small nuclear explosion in the lounge and I'm starting to stress. Oh, and can't get hold of dh via mobile or office either.......Sad.
Mind you, on a positive I have made a fab beef and tomato casserole, banana and cranberry flapjack and two lemon drizzle cakes to take with us (we are self catering in the UK Grin)!

Hopefully it will be something that will pass quickly.

DD was off school yesterday with really high temp, headache etc (and was really teary). She slept for 3 hours during the day, dosed her up on Calpol and had a good sleep last night and shes virtually back to normal now ( although the "back to normal" bit seemed to happen after we said we'd keep her off school today, too! Wink)

That's scary, you've just described my house and I haven't got the excuse of being busy baking stuff. I've got and hour and a bit to finish my packing, so heaven knows why I'm on here!

Poor thing. Chicken pox appears to be rampant around here, hope it isn't that. DD just had it and that's how hers started.

Mumbo , mu sympathies.
Nurseries are the worst, at passssing on some nasty bug, just at the worst possible time, aren't they ?

A dose of nurofen & calpol before bed ?

But if you are the kind of mummy that cooks such a lovely feast, the day before going on holiday...
then don't worry, just lock ds in the shed - I'll come in his place - I can't wait to taste your lemon drizzle cake Grin

The boys both had chickenpox last Easter holidays so I know it's not that. He does seem to be brightening up slowly - just asked for a hot cross bun because he was "feeling just a little bit better"! Love him!

I keep looking at the lemon drizzle cake.......but I made it to take with us........mmmmm, maybe just a little piece to calm me down! Grin

Last year our son wasn't too great on holiday, but as we were self catering it wasn't too bad, he could lie about on the settee watching telly or go out when he felt better. Try not to stress to much and take the holiday as it comes at least your not flying abroad. My 2 have been ill on and off for the past month with colds and stuff we are flying to spain soon and I am dreading them taking ill again.
