how do i train for a 25 mile bike ride?

am thinking of doing this for charity. iv been going to the gym lots recently, the idea was to lose weight, but obviously fitness level has probly iimproved lots.
any suggestions on what to do to prepare myself for this?

ahh you have come to the right place my good woman!!! would highly recommend it fab way to lose weight with out all the impact worries!
Now a few details please?
Is it road or mountain biking?
have you riden before?
any ongoing injuries?
any babies recently?

25 miles is that not far, tbh, just go out on the road. The rule of thumb for running is that if you can comfortably do 13 miles you can probably do a Marathon if mentally prepared. So I would aim for at least two 10 mile rides a week for a while, then try to get that built up to a few 15-20 rides the 2-3 weeks before the big day. If you are really starting from zero, then do 5 mile rides 4 times a week for the first month or so.

That's what I would do, not that I'm a fitness expert or anything.

if your charity cycle ride is hilly make sure you practise on hills, cycling on the flat is quite different.
