I ahd my mobile, purse and filofax stolen from my office. Front door unlocked and no lockers provided.

Insurance company are not being helpful because we were'nt broken into. Boss has suggessted I claim on my home insurance. I'm loathe to do this and don't want to be out of pocket.

What do you think?

Poor you. I deal with various corporate insurances and my policies do not cover employees personal belongings. Suggest you tackle boss from health & safery perspective, if anyone can wonder into yr office then how do U know you are safe from being mugged? Lay it on thick that they have a duty of care. Ask for your office to be locked or at very least to have a drawer that you can lock.
