Very interested to hear.

I already have, although they haven't got back to me yet.

I am really pissed off about this, I don't intend to let it go until I find out what the problem is.

maybe you could say something that will make he/she say something back that will make it obvious if its someone you know (IYKWIM!!!)

rickman · 28/03/2006 17:38

Well I was hoping that this thread might encourage them to reveal themselves. :)

if they are hiding behind name changes I doubt this will make them come out. Sad Doesn't ur exp have a new gf? COuld it be her?

rickman · 28/03/2006 17:40

Yes he has. According to him, he has only been seeing her for 5 months though. The other 2 posts were made in September and June last year.

|I think mumalone has actually posted quite a lot \link{http://www.google.com/custom?q=mumalone&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&cof=AWFID:1e59dfbab1004c54%3BL:www.mumsnet.com/gif/topbarins.gif%3BLH:63%3BLW:800%3BBGC:%23FFFFFF%3BT:%23000000%3BLC:%230000CC%3BVLC:%230000CC%3BALC:%230000CC%3BGALT:%23008000%3BGFNT:%23000000%3BGIMP:%23000000%3BDIV:%230000CC%3BLBGC:%23FFFFFF%3BAH:center%3BS:www.mumsnet.com%3B&sitesearch=www.mumsnet.com&filter=0\ Posts}

Kelly1978 · 28/03/2006 17:45

if it that far apart I would guess it a regular poster, it surely can't be someone coming on that rarely.

zippitippitoes · 28/03/2006 17:46

actually lots of them are the same post..but seem to be a few more!

Kelly1978 · 28/03/2006 17:46

Not sure what to make of z's link, strange that they don't show up the usual searches.

rickman · 28/03/2006 17:46

Blimey that's scary. Ok if she has posted on other threads, I stand corrected. A lot of those are the same thread though. You certainly don't get any other threads in active conversations. I still want to know what the problem is though.

OP posts:
zippitippitoes · 28/03/2006 17:49

I think the chat ones aren't archived??

rickman · 28/03/2006 20:20

Apparently mumalone isn't a namechanger, so I apologise for that. The dodgy search is obviously fuelling my paranoia. It does mean though that it could be someone I know or more likely, someone that just doesn't like me. I may change my name though, any suggestions?

OP posts:
essemvee · 28/03/2006 20:22

Ignore it?? :o

rickman · 28/03/2006 20:28

I am trying to. I guess I'm still worried that it is something to do with xp. Until I feel reassured that it isn't, I'm a bit reluctant to post anything else.

OP posts:
welshboris · 28/03/2006 20:30

Hi Rickman, we've never "spoke" before, but Ive followed this thread and looked at mumalones threads.

I dont blame you for being paranoid, we all know what the w.w.w is like, with MN, its easy to forget your posts are available to be read by anyone with internet access.

Only you know the answer to the name changing question, if the person we're talking about is sad enough to "virtually" stalk you then maybe they will notice the name change aswell

Hope youre OK anyway, and try not to let the bastards get you down x

Dior · 28/03/2006 20:42

Rickman - If it is any help, in the first thread you linked to it seems like she is commenting on someone else's postings, not yours. In the other two threads, she sounds snippy, but I don't thinkit is anything against you per se. I can see where you would have got that impression though...

Don't let it get to you. We all get people disagreeing with us when we post personal thoughts. She is just one voice amongst all us MNers...

rickman · 28/03/2006 20:49

I know I probably am being paranoid, I can't help it though, the thought of xp knowing what I say on here makes me feel quite ill. If it is just someone who just hasn't taken to me, I'd feel relieved I think. It would be easy enough to avoid someone on here if necessary.

Maybe I have said too much on here, I'm fairly easy to identify, there aren't that many single parents for 4 kids on here. I feel a bit vulnerable now.

Dior - how are you?
WB - we may not have spoken but I have certainly seen you around. :o

OP posts:
essemvee · 28/03/2006 20:50

Yeah, it doesn't look personal to me... just someone who likes voicing her opinion when she disagrees with someone... MN is a pretty safe place to do that, if you lack the courage to do it to someone's face. None of it is threatening or anything, at worst a bit bitchy, so I'd just try to forget it.. don't let it get to you!! If it IS someone you know, perhaps that's just what they are aiming for, anyway!! :)

LadySherlockofLGJ · 28/03/2006 20:51

Rickers

MSN now please.

welshboris · 29/03/2006 11:50

[bluhs] rickman, my bark is worse than my bite

Dior · 29/03/2006 18:19

Rickman - Fine thanks! Hope you are feeling happier today...
