I am having a new years eve party and was wondering if there are any good radio stations to play all night with a good mixture of tunes with hardly any talking? live in south east.Heart are doing it but they do tend to play sister sledge e.c.t all the time which is a bit bland. If you are having one too have a bloody good time.

Eagle said they are playing the top 100 songs of the year I think. It's on 96.4fm, we get it in Surrey. What about sky music channels?

happycat · 30/12/2003 23:24

I have only got sky one and they are doing kareoke don't know wether that would be any good other than that I've got the box which is rubbish.Mind you I have just brought the triple 80's c.d and am really in the mood now.I think I would just like some up to date tunes with 80's, 70's and even some 60's.

Apparantly Virgin are playing non stop party music all night on NYE, not sure what they mean but check out their website or listen in and I guess they will say

happycat · 31/12/2003 00:08

Have you got Windows media player? If you have, click on Radio Tuner and it should come up with a list of stations, you can also search for more, choosing the type of music that you want. DH listens to one called Planet Rock, constant rock music and absolutely no talking.

No, I'm not having a party 'cause I'm a boring bastard - but I hope you have a really good one happycat!

hmc you arte in soton arent you?

handlemecarefully · 31/12/2003 12:07

Hi coddy,

I'm in a village on the A36 So'ton to Salisbury road - about 25 mins drive to central So'ton.

Having a quiet new years eve - partly because I am 24 weeks pregnant and there doesn't seem any point to celebrating when you can't get blasted!

Are you doing anything interesting?

codswallop · 31/12/2003 12:12

no,... always a dilemma here

BUT I went to the harbour lights cinema in soton last night and they have "the big scream" sessions monthly where you can take your under 1 year old baby to watch arty films!!
Thought of you

no good with ds3 as he crawls.....

handlemecarefully · 31/12/2003 12:17

I didn't know such a thing existed - what a fantastic concept...

codswallop · 31/12/2003 21:43

codswallop · 31/12/2003 21:43
