whats the best age to start potty training

tmy dd is 2 and she starts nersery in september and i want to start to potty train her but i dont no how or when any ideas ???

It's probably old fashioned but I put my DD on the potty when she woke up and after each meal (& before her bath). Quite soon she started to go and get it or sit on it when she wanted to go. I think she was a bit younger than 2 (but I can't remember!).
I have just started off one of my childmindies in the same way (a little boy of 22 months)
