There must be a God.......or at the very least a higher power!

My dh took the car out this afternoon to football match. When he returned, the front passanger window had been completely smashed in. Obviously not good. But the amazing thing is that my handbag and camcorder were in the boot, and our camera in the front pocket. All were untouched. We assume something must have disturbed them.

I would have been so upset to have lost the camcorder and camera as we had taken some film and photos of the boys on Christmas morning and on walk on the beech (hense them being in car). With all the excitment of Christmas, etc I had forgotten they were in the car. If they had been taken of course the insurance would have paid out but I would have hated to have lost those captured moments.

So to whoever was watching out for us - thank you.

I thought this when my brakes failed BEFORE I was about to go down a very steep, narrow hill with a sheer drop on one side (and no barrier!!!!).

I did say thank you! but thank you again!

A friend's brakes failed (she has an ancient MGB)just as she reached a huge busy roundabout with dozens of lanes and traffic lights - there was nobody there as she sailed across and she wasn't hurt either (the car was a bit bruised).

It does make you wonder, doesn't it...?

There was a scary quote in the Guardian magazine today from an American officer after a Somali Muslim warlord had told him "Allah will look after us" - he said something like "I know our god is omnipotent and theirs is just an idol"...

Um, well, he clearly doesn't understand theology because Judaism, Christianity and Islam all worship the same God, just in different ways.

I meant the officer, not JanH!
