just a quick one, anyone know where my sound went?

speakers are plugged in and on, plugged into the right socket. i just tried some other speakers and no go either? the sound went while ds was on the pc...has he switched them off on the control panel somehow?

If you have a tiny icon of a speaker on your windows tool bar, click it. Sound is probably muted. You can also get to it via start button, control panel, sound & audio devices.

omg! i just jumped a foot in the air. yes it was muted and i had media player on full blast! lol. thanks

Or is there a mute button on the keyboard? Could be one of the function buttons? Or my keyboard has a mute button at the top with other multi-media buttons?
