that is really pathetic. my son isnt in school or anything yet, but i collect them to give away to MN'ers:) as i know people out there save them and i think its a good idea too...

You could contact your local school to ask if they would like them.

I used to ask the checkout operator to give them to the next person who was collecting them. Don't know whether they ever did, but made me feel better!

Schools need thousands before they get anything. The postage is far more than the real value.

At least wait till the end of the season and then dispose in one go.

I give mine to my sister for my niece's school, but I notice here that our Tescos have a collection box so they can hand them over to you and then you immediately put them into the box for the local junior school.

Must admit I usually take them and then give them to the nearest 'mum with school age kids' I can see when I get out the store. But being as you have asked so nicely Christie - give me your address/schools address & I will send them there!

Let Christie have them, LV - it sounds as if her small school is in more need of them than dd's big one!
