you have to leave streaks in for 20 mins .. but is that 20 mins from when you've finished all of them or 20 mins including how long it took to apply them all .. because it says to start at the front ..

need to know now .. cos I'm sitting here with gunk in my hair and gloves on my hands

I would think 20 minutes from when you finish. It takes ages to apply them doesn't it?

I've never been brave enough to do it myself, let us know how it turns out.

Tried it and it was a rubbish, I left it on 20 mins from when I'd finished. The effect was terrible, but then I'm not terribly artistically minded.

I have curly hair and it says you don't have to do it carefully if its curly .. hopefully its true Wink

ah, mine is poker straight, that may explain the obviously 'home made' appearance !

sammac · 19/03/2006 16:30

I think 20 mins from when you finish- I'm doing it right now too!!

Twiglett · 19/03/2006 16:31

heh heh .. I have 10 more minutes

Not brave enough to try the streaks, but I too am sitting here with a head full of gunk, lol.

cece · 19/03/2006 17:10

I timed it from when I started putting them in.

Did it yesterday, the pink hair had to go... looking a bit patchy. now chocolate brown with blonde highlights at the front. i think it looks hideous but you now, people in shops might stop phoning my bank card through / double checking my mioney isn't fake!

Worked a treat this set, new organic (dontcha know- just incase you might eat it) one from wlikinsons.

Have to say though, my scalp didn't bleed like it normally does, nor is my face burned from the allergies.

So, will recommend Smart colour (£5.79).

I did a Superdrug's own one last month, didn't leave the streaks long enough and they're a bit orangey from half way down but as the rest of it's red it doesn't look too odd. Will do it properly next time.

Enid · 20/03/2006 10:04

my sister did

looked terrible

I insisted she go and have it done properly

JoolsToo · 20/03/2006 10:05

I did - I made I right Henry of it!!!

Thought I'd be clever and do a load of strands at once, so subtle it wasn't ShockGrin

NomDePlume · 20/03/2006 10:35

How does it look Twig ? Or are you off at the hairdressers having it corrected ?!

Norah · 20/03/2006 10:41

I did it and it was great !

However, seemed to wear off the grey really quickly - so am having it done at salon this time to see if it is better !
