Weird goings on in my house

Ive just been chatting to a friend on the phone - no one else in the house and the sound of something falling came from my kitchen. I went to investigate and found a body lotion tube which had been on the top of the microwave lying on the floor. It must have fallen off and made the noise as it fell between the microwave and the cupboard. I looked around and made sure there was no vibrating appliance on which there wasnt. But then I noticed a battery perched on the edge of the microwave on the top on its flat end. It is so close to the edge it is leaning - there's no way I put it like that and couldnt have happened by accident

One of my four way lights flew out of its socket yesterday, lights weren't on or anything, and a little while ago the battery in my remote control burnt up sooo much that when i picked up the remote I dropped it. The same week my hairdrier caught on fire and my central heating broke shortly followed by my electric fire. Bad luck or a heat hating ghost???
