We have buyers for our house which is great. They put the offer in on 20 Feb and we found somewhere to buy the next day so very quick.Their buyers (FTB)put the offer in on their flat last September so they took 6 months to find a house(ours)and hence their buyers are really hassling them. They have asked us to move out and rent as they are scared of losing out but I think they should move out if anyone as we are only a month into things and haven't been slow at all but there are a few questions with our purchase which are still to be answered so exchange/completion is prob not going to be for 3/4 weeks.I think they are being unreasonable as they are implying they will lose their buyers if we don't vacate but I can't with 3 cats and ds etc

I have told the agents that I am not moving until we have somewhere to move to.When we accepted their offer our agent said that he could push for more but he felt that if we did they may specify we vacate asap so we decided to accept the lower offer rather than be rushed so they can argue it out amongst themseves

Happened to us as few years ago. Our buyers' buyer pulled out because our buyers were taking too long.....they'd only made an offer on our house the week before and (surprise, surprise) we hadn't found anywhere in that time!!

But if they've been waiting that long I can see why they are getting fed up. Still think that your buyers should rent - after all they are the ones who've caused most of the hold-up.

Good luck

They are really trying it on tbh. Let them find somewhere to rent it could be tough doing so with pets yourself and frankly why should you ! Also many lets, unless holiday flats, would be a minimum of 6 months lease.
