Can anyone tell me how to open a cd??

I'm trying to open a cd for my son on the computer but when I go into my computer and click on CD nothing is happening.

Can anyone tell me what to do?

That is exactly what i'd tell you to do. Take cd out and give it a polish in case any dust etc on it. Check if other cd's work in the drive?

some cds won't work in computers so that they can't be copied.

is it a music one? if it is then its prob protected and the don't even play

it's been bought off e-bay, it's a copy of "learn to play the guitar", but it seems to be blank.......
