About to order some flowers for a friend's wedding anniversary.

Normally I never send wedding anniversary 'things' to anyone, not even my husband, but they've both been so supportive to me lately, and she does to H and I, so I'd like to.

Question is (not mentioning the supportive thing, btw), what can I ask the florist to put on the card that doesn't sound COMPLETELY cheesy? They've also got a much longed-for dd, so do I need to mention her too?

Help very much appreciated! TIA.

Their dd is 6, btw, so maybe mentioning her might be superflous? But they do adore her. I don't know.

just put 'love from carla xxx'

less is more imo

Thanks, NP. From me, or from all of us? God, I'm rubbish at this!

i think the cheese factor veers in as soon as you go beyond 'best wishes on your anniversary' - i'd probably put that and then ring them to say how much I appreciated they support. especially as florists' handwriting/spelling is rarely beautiful (sorry to literate MN florists) so complicated messages usually sound and look like something from a kidnapper

you could go for ? something like

'Best wishes on your anniversary. You are a great family to know'

aaghh! their support

florists' revenge

if its from all of you to all of them you could put 'love from all of us xxx' or your names

there is no need for anything else

to avoid worrying about whether to put all their names, dont put any!

or if you specifically want it to be from you to her, you could put to XXX love from carla xxx'

sometimes its nice to send a friend something just for her from you

shes your friend and she will know

Thanks everybody, you're so right - less is best! Just said Have a wonderful day, love from the XXX's. !
