Going on night out with dh's best mate, what do you think?

I am desperate to see a band that is playing near me on friday night and a couple of my close friends who like rock music are busy.

BUT, one of my hubbys best mates and work mates has offered to go with me as he likes them too, I am cool about it, and so is DH, but I'm interested to know what other people in the pub might think (dh and I are both regulars there and I'm best mates with the landlord)

if you and your hubby are cool with it waht does it matter what anyone else thinks

I think it's fine to go out with anyone you want.

I tend to worry about what other people think.

His mate and i get on well, i can get drunk and be totally comfy, he loves me and the kids like family.

I really want to go as we will have a good night, but, people will know me and my dh's mate is not really known in this pub and i don't want to start rumours.

Oh rumours are the best. One of my neighbours grabbed me and asked who the DJ was that her niece had seen me snogging at a mutual friends party. I kept her going for months until she saw me out with my dh and realised he was the DJ.

i do that a lot
i have lunch wiht one of dhs mates once a fortnight

if you are worried tell the landlord in advance

I regularly used to go out with my brother-in-law (to see bands and shows that my dh didn't like). My MIL thought it was very funny to crack jokes about how I'd married the wrong brother!

Definitely go for it and, better still, get some rumours started too. Smile
