Queens Park NW6 london - anyone know it?

Moving back to London after 10 years (long story!)
Hearing alot about Queens park and surounding areas - does any one know much about them?

Schools, tranport, houses, friendly, stuck up???!!!

I have some friends in Queens Park, they send their kids privately so don't know much about schools. The Park is great tho', fab playground and cafe.
