i tend to do my whole week shop at once so i dont have to endure it more as i hate shopping. my dd , 18 months. is fine sitting in the toddler seat but once baby arrives in june i dont know what to do. they have a baby trolley which took them over a year to get, but they dont have a duo one for both. i enquired about it the other day and was asked, you are kidding aint you?. i was like no. come june i could really do with this shop having a duo trolley.
so how do i get them to get one.

sainsburies? asda?

I have no clue how to make a shop part with its money for a trolley, sorry. I do know that shopping with a baby and a toddler is a PITA (i have 23 months between mine). Maybe for the first few months u could use a sling?
is there another shop u could go to instead?

the only other shop that do have a duo trolley is 45 mins away. i am not the only mother that has been asking for a duo trolley.
think i will just have to have a word with the manager as talking to customer services or emailing them is a complete waste of time and effort

I'm shocked - I assumed all the supermarkets had lots of combinations of trolleys, ie twin baby seats, baby and toddler seat, two toddler seats, my local ASDA has a triplet trolly they provided by special request of a mother of triplets! I'm guessing yours is a small local supermarket though.

I would write to head office and then the local paper - there must be loads of people in your situation.

i wish they had loads of trolley combos. they only recently got a baby trolley in. so when i had dd i had to put her car seat in the trolley and its the really small trolleys so only managed to fit a thing of milk and couple of bits around the car seat. i am pulling my hair out already about it. if they dont get a duo trolley i dont know how i will cope. the sling will be ok for a few weeks may be. but i found with my dd i couldnt wear it that much as she was heavy and kept killing my back

For a while could you carry baby in a sling while you do your shopping??

Write to your local newspaper. You can't be the only person who has a baby and toddler who uses the store.

Both my kids were big but went in a sling OK. But you really could do with a trolley I can see. Is this a smallish supermarket? Are you going to name and shame on here? Wink

Write to the store manager, if no satisfactory response, the regional manager and upwards if necessary.

Can you tell us which supermarket and approx.location?
