Anyone know how to de-code an old car radio?

We have just bought an old Volvo 940 from a car auction and inevitably the radio doesn't work because the security code is missing.

Anyone know how to reset it? It is so old that I doubt any Volvo dealers will have records.

Thanks.

We got the code for an old Ford radio from ebay - you pay about £2 for software they send you attached to an email, punch in the serial number and it will give you the code.

We were a bit dubious, but it would have been about £20 at a garage and we figured it was worth risking £2 for!

Can you give me more info, No Pearls?

What do I look for on ebay?

Thanks.

Pacific, if you google "unlock car stereo" there are literally 100s of websites that will unlock the car stereo for you. Unfortunately I can't remember the one we used, it charged £5 and you got your money if it didn't work!!

The number we got didn't unlock it, but we got our money back immediately!
