Reading about toys on another thread made me recall names of teddies and how they sometimes have un-teddy like names.

Mine was called Fritz (my Dad bought him when he went on a trip to Germany just before I was born)
My brothers was called Andrew (classic example of un-teddy like name!) Smile

What was yours called?

I had a teddy with pink feet called Harold Wilson (still got him, actually) and a dog called Len Murray (1970's trade union leader).

My nephew has a 1990 Harrods teddy called Crimewatch because after it was given to him there was an announcement on Crimewatch that a load of Harrods teddy bears had been nicked.
I now have an elephant called Robbie Williams because he's on the radio (well that's where he sits Grin)

my dad brought me a polar bear to soften the news that my budgie had died. Sad and i called him cuddles. hes been all round the world and dd1 now has him on her bed. she also has a posh teddy that she named lucky bernard after the unfortunate litle boy-bernard-in the story, not now bernard, who got eaten by a monster!!

I was very unimaginative Pink Ted, Yellow Ted, Orange Ted. Oh, I did have a koala called Koojee Bear, after one of Rolf Harris's apparently. A lot later in life I discovered there is actually a place in Australia called Koojee Bay, my dh lived there for a while!!
