Oxted, Redhill area - nice hall or church for a group of singers?

Does anyone know a pleasant church, church hall or similar in the area?

We'd like to get a small group together to sing for the day (a Saturday in spring) then take them all out for a meal to celebrate an anniversary.

Need somewhere light and welcoming, not a gloomy church like our local ones.

Looked at hotels eg Nutfield Priory but prohibitively expensive.

Any ideas will be very welcome

TIA

Can anyone suggest a better title for this (admittedly not exciting) thread so that it attracts some replies? I'm sure there must be lore available on the subject, if I could only capture it. We've been together 10 yrs and want to celebrate

There's a hall next to Oxted County school, that's used by a theater group, looks quite modern but I've never been in there (used to commute from Oxted)

I'll see if I can find something.

Nice idea thanks, but they have an evening production on the day we have in mind. Will check availability in day time though.

The Sacred Heart church Caterham has quite a bright airy hall, Nutfield village hall on the A22 is dead cheap though not that bright, the Hall at Holy Trinity church Redhill has been done up fairly recently and is quite plesent. Can you tell I go to lots of 4 year old parties... Grin
