Ex works reunion - with bully boss - should I go?

I've been invited to a reunion of my former employer, by the then regional manager.

The problem is that my direct manager was a bully and made me very unhappy.

Do I go and stick two proverbial fingers up in her face? Or do I just close the book and forget about it?

Advice please Smile

definitely go and have a great time whilst being sweet until she pisses you off and then let her have it with both barrels

what would make you feel better?
do you want to see other people there on the night?
or would it just be about the bully boss.

I think if i didn't want to see anyone else, i'd not go. Just quietly move on from the situation.....
i had a bully boss too and her very name makes my blood boil. I have been in the same room as her on a number of situations and it doesn't really make alot of differnece. i still hate her and it isn't really resolved, but i have stopped ranting about her at home (most of the time)
I did get the better of her at my exit interview tho'

Go, get really drunk and break into a chorus of "Does X take it up the arse?" or equally tasteful song.

Or pee in her drink.

Stay away - it will just stir up unpleasant memories.

Swan into the room, greet bully boss with a huge smile and say loudly "X, how lovely to see you, gosh, you've put on a lot of weight lately". Then disappear off before she can reply.Wink

Ha Slug, that would be funny, she was always conscious of her weight and that I was slimmer than her!

Thanks for the suggestions - I really don't know what to do. A bit of me wants to go in all smiles and confident, but I'm worried that she'd start the bitchy comments....

Do you still have friends at the company that you see/would like to keep in touch with? Do you know that the bully boss will definitely be there? Will the group be large enough that you can avoid her?

The only person I'd be bothered about seeing is the regional manager, but as he's my biece's godfather I do see him from time to time anyway. I'm really not bothered about seeing the others -there'll only be half a dozen anyway.

Guess that's my answer then!

Can you say can't make it, but would love to meet for lunch or coffee and then tell the regional what a BULLY she was. Or say I would have come but really can't face x due to the bad feeling she created foryou. larsxx
