Gift suggestions for childminder who we are leaving due to me reducing work hours

Next week is our last week with our brillianrt childminder. For a variety of reasons, I have reduced my working hours to two days a week and we can no longer afford to keep her on those days so my mum is going to have to boys.

She has looked after ds1 since January 2003 when he was 5 months old and more recently, ds2 for the last 6 months.

I want to get her a gift to say thank you but want something more special than the wine and flowers route.

Any ideas?

When DS left his childminder we bought her a cut glass photoframe and some flowers.

we gave her a photo frame at christmas...otherwise a good idea :)

any others?

Something personalised from the boys? That would mean a lot to me (as a childminder :))

also, again as a childminder a voucher for some pampering would be VERY much appreciated :)

As A childminder I agree with freshstarts second choice! Also, don't forget to write reference for her portfolio.

that is a great idea!
think that is what I shall do :)

I'd like things like
Reliable, caring, efficient, professional

I hope you get better suggestions from someone else.......Sad

does your childminder do the pampering thing? my old cm received a spa day voucher (not from me) and it really was the worst thank-you gift for her. My cm probably wouldn't like this either.

i gave my ex childminder a framed photo of ds, she loved it
