They must be feeling very strange at the moment after their loss but at the same time they must be relieved that Sophie is safe. Ectopic pregnancies are very dangerous. In fact Edward spoke of his sadness, relief and gratitude.

I said that on a different site and got slated (and accused of being selfish!?). Wonder if the same will happen here?

My thoughts exactly.
I wonder of the sadness at losing the baby is perhaps overwhelming to some, and only much later on reflection do people realise how fortunate the mother was to have come through it safely.
I also thought it was a gross invasion of their privacy to have this reported. If it happpened to me I would tell very few people, it being so private and personal. They don't have that choice.

There is also the worry that you may have difficult conceiving again - particularly if you lost a fallopian tube . Even if you were lucky enough not to have to have had a tube removed there is the worry that you may have a prediliction for such pregnancies.
Worries and sorrow aside, I do wonder at the need for an air ambulance to bring her to London. She could have been rushed by road to any one of a handful of very good private hospitals in the immediate vicinity in less time than it took to fly to the capital - and as speed is so important with ectopic pregnancies this could have put her in more danger. Don't know if it was the Royal Families "private" air ambulance, but if it wasn't it does also spark the debate that it might have been needed elsewhere for a more desperate case.
