What happens to access to a child when an injunction has been taken out?

SIL's life seems to have gone a bit Trisha.

Just before xmas she split from her boyrfriend of approx 18months, with whom she has a DD of now 1 yr old.

Basically story goes that she withheld his bank card, he had no access to money and kept appearing to try and get it back. Hit her in the face.

To cut a long story short an injunction of a year has now been taken out against him. Purely because, rightly or wrongly I feel a bit sorry for the chap.

I feel (and know) that MIL has been meddling big time, when from what I knew, their relationship was pretty good. He loves his child and did more than his fair share around the house, was getting jobs, and spent lots of quality time with his child.

So I am just wondering if there will be any hope in hell of this man seeing his child at all in the next year? Sad

Its sad. He's an idiot for hitting her. I think he has made things virtually impossible for reasonable access now.

Methinks if sister in law wants it tohappen then she could apply or something to the court for a reevrsal, but if I am right and she did do this then Social Crappy Services might have something unhelpful (as ever) to say about ot - or not depending on how crappier than crap they are in that particular dept of said crappy social services.

Sorry to any lovely social workers on here,I may have just given tthe impression that I think Social Services are crap.

I think he is appealing. I am just surprised tbh, I thought injunctions were always harder to get. Especially when there is a child involved.
