Has anyone successful negotiated down the 10% deposit you are supposed to pay on exchange? It's too much imo.

I got them to accept 5% when I bought my first house.

Talk to your solicitor about it when yo uahve to see them.

We haven't seen anything we want to buy yet - I am just factoring in all the costs at the moment. Stamp duty is another blxxdy farce as we will be buying at £300K+ so that makes it 3%
