Baby almost 6 months- any suggestions on meeting other mums

Since having my baby 5 months ago I have been really ill with a critical illness. Up until this point I've not been able to even think about socialising with other mums, but am starting to now as it would be good for my little boy to mix with some other tots of a similar age. I'm starting to feel better myself and would like to meet for something low key. Any ideas on where to start in North London.

I'm not in N London but I'm sure that there is a local Mum and Toddler group near you, perhaps at your local community centre or church ? It might be a good idea to ask your Health Visitor as they'll probably have a few telephone numbers so you can check availability. There are lots of London MNers so I'm sure they'd be able to provide a more comprehensive answer for you

You could find an activity which you can do together such as Music (Jo Jingles, Monkey Music, Kindermusik are all franchises) or a physical based one such as Tumbletots. All have classes for babies as well as toddlers. Your local swimming pool may have baby swim sessions.

You could also contact the local branch of NCT as they sometimes bring mums with similar aged kids together for a coffee morning or run open social sessions and events. Your local library may have a list of activities and contacts in your area.
