we set up with virgin 24 about 12 months ago.
i started getting e mails recently, asking me for my new card details-and that seemed right as my card has just expired.anyway, i managed to get through to their helpline today but got a bit wary when the guy told me to ring another number cos it was cheaper. i rang the number and the bloke took my postcode and password then referred to me by my name!!!he cleared his throat and said "oh, it's me again"....and mumbled something else.I passed the phone over to my hubbie and he asked could we do it online or by post as he didn't feel comfortable giving our details over the phone. does anyone know the correct website for virgin net?

i just looked for the website, it's www.virgin.net if you click on customer services there is an option to change your payment details online. they also is a free phone number but I don't know if that is just for service status, hope this helps.

be wary of replying to emails asking for your account details apparantly companies aren't supposed to ask for this. It could be a scam.

hope this helps

thanks me23. this is what was worrying me. i thought they weren't allowed too. however, have had a few other callers recently. one claiming to be from the halifax and asking me if i wanted to "protect" my card. she started off by saying this is (my name) isn't it? your postcode is (postcode)? and your password is?....? i wonder just how many people have fallen into that trap!
