I Had A Good Greet At Flower of Scotland and now

my dd (7) is in tears and jumping up and down shouting "they won, they won, Yesss!" (Feeling a bit homesick as we now live in England )

I'm sorry, but I have no idea what event you're talking about.
Dh is a quarter Scottish and he still gets very Scot-proud, favouring them over England in all sporting events.

DH & BIL are at the match, lucky buggers. I may not see them for a while as I daresay it'll be home via the pub (despite poor dh being English)

Hmmm, tough question there.

Mind you DH just rang saying he's walking back and dropped hints that it'd be lovely if I had the dinner on! I think the 4am start tomorrow has made him think that getting wellied tonight is probably not the best idea.

he did mention that your DH was already plastered and rolling down the street trying to sing "Flower of Scotland" off key !

OMG and his best man phoned at half time looking for hd, and I stupidly stupidly stupidly said "oh, he's at Murrayfield too"
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGHHHH WHY am I so stupid?!!
No doubt dh will suddenly decide that staying in edinburgh is a great idea! (particularly given alternative of poorly, crying baby!)

Wasn't that just an amazing blody game
I'm a kiwi and thought the SCots played damned well against the AB's reserve side last year and thought they have really upped their fitness, and man their tackles were awesome, they were so committed
I was born in England (brought up in NZ) but I was behind the Scots all the way
I am a fan of rugby first and foremost and thats the best Scotland have played for 15 years
And one of the best games I've watched in recent years (that has not involved the All Blacks )
Congrats to Scots all around!
