From the office, sometime after 1.30pm. Stupidli I left it in my office unattended whilst I was in a meeting in another room. Noticed at 5pm they had gone along with a pen drive from my desk.

Am gutted. My whole life was in my mobile and my filofax.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is awful. Does that mean it is someone you work with? .

Northerner · 23/02/2006 09:48

I don't think so. More than likely to be someone off the street. We are nera a few drug rehab places and often have them wandering down the street.

Waiting for the police to come.

Oh no! Poor you, I would be gutted.

WideWebWitch · 23/02/2006 09:49

And no good to you now, but you can download all your phone nos to your pc so that even if your phone's lost you've got your numbers. Dh has done it.

oliveoil · 23/02/2006 09:51

Awful BUT at least it isn't anyone at work, that for me would be very distressing.

Have you got a copy of your numbers from your phone?

Our receptionist had this happen to her once and it was someone walking in off the street.

xx

Northerner · 23/02/2006 09:51

Didn't know that www. Will do that next time.

How an earth do I start collating them again? Stupid things like ds play dates and mums tel numbers. Everyone's birthdays and addresses.

Can't concentrate at work today at all.

Well I don't think it's anyon efrom here. Been here nearly 4 years, never happenned before. Consider them all friendly enough. They are all gutted for me.

It is a pain isn't it? I would be really anal and print out a sheet for people to fill in and hand it out at nursery or whatever and spend a boring evening typing it all in again.

Are you insured?

Northerner · 23/02/2006 10:05

Have home insurance yes, but don't know if I can claim. Will check.

Also to top off my week, ds has scabies. How grim does that sound?

you may still be able to get your phone numbers back if they we're stored the phones sim card?

you need to phone your mobile phone company and cancel the phone or course - then when you get a new phone they can put the numbers on the new sim.

oliveoil · 23/02/2006 13:21

what did the police say?

sharklet · 23/02/2006 14:19

I had my bag stolen from a cafe and managed to claim the missing items back off my contents insurance. Check your policy!

The bag itself with a few of the items did turn up on a tube at Brixton Station, they called me as my business card was in the bag, fortunately I had two mobiles at the time (I was in the middle of changing numbers) so I answered and collected the bag from them.

I was impressed how much I could claim back ont he insurance though. It was still a blow becasue of the information which could not be replaced.

Hope it gets sorted soon.

Northerner · 23/02/2006 14:57

The police still haven't called me
