Someone mentioned "Ladders" on a thread about great games for Birthday parties. I used to play this at Brownies but cannot remember exactly how you play it and Google hasn't helped.

Please can someone remember?

TIA

Children pair up and sit opposite each other with their feet touching. The pairs are lined up so they look like a ladder.

The leader gives each pair a number.

The leader shouts a number, and that pair jump up, skip down the ladder over all the legs touch the wall at that end, then split up and each run up their side (but round the backs of the children) to the top of the ladder. Then they jump over all the legs down the ladder until they reach their place. The person who is back first gets a point for their side.

HTH?

Ah thanks, that makes sense. But at the ban - seriously? Do anyone's kids play it now? Am I likely to be ostracised from the playground if they play it at ds's Birthday party?
