You should get a £10 voucher though. Make sure they give it to you.

Twiglett · 21/02/2006 14:09

Sainsburys home delivery is rubbish IME

Ocado are fantastic - and they give you free chocolates

Freckle · 21/02/2006 14:13

Yes, the driver should have a supply - unless they've run out because they're always late .

Marina · 21/02/2006 14:15

Oh Twig, you should stick with the Ocadistes

Twiglett · 21/02/2006 14:16

yes but when buying loo paper, nappies and tins of staples I just can't stand paying Ocado prices .. this shop is already over £100

How about once a month BIGGO shop of household stuff from Sainsburys and groceries weekly from people who give a damn? I agree Ocado's teeny packets of nappies and overpriced household stuff is their only downside.
Bell's Sainsburys man once threw her shopping down the steps, smashing the eggs and cream etc, and just walked off. When they are bad they really are dire

Twiglett · 21/02/2006 14:36

ha .. emailed them 'disgusted of london' and they're looking into it

I like walking down our shopping road buying things from little shops .. tis the only exercise I get

Twiglett · 21/02/2006 14:37

Marina .. would you like to do lunch one day?

OP posts:
Marina · 21/02/2006 14:39

THat is because where you live you have a nice road full of little shops. I can step briskly through an urban wasteland park to our Fortress Bronx style Co-Op. I do have three dodgy nail and tanning establishments to choose from as well.
Actually, Twiglett, do you go to Sparkes Butchers van when it is over your way?

Marina · 21/02/2006 14:39

will CAT you.

Twiglett · 21/02/2006 14:42

no I don't .. for we have a fabulous organic, free range butchers .. who gives away stock bones free .. am becoming a master at making stock .. and soup

Where do you live, Twiglett? Wondered if it were worth you joining Costco or similar?

Twiglett · 21/02/2006 14:51

Costco and Makro are basically wholesalers who sell to the public. You have to be a member and you are able to buy in bulk, so it helps if you have some storage facilities (I use our cellar, but have to be careful re damp).

I use the Costco at Thurrock which might be doable for you, depending where in sarf London you are. Alternatively, I believe there is a Makro at Croydon.

lahdeedah · 21/02/2006 17:50

There is a Makro in Greenwich, near the Dome - but I thought you had to be registered as a company to use it? I always borrow my dad's card!

Freckle · 21/02/2006 18:01

There are certain criteria for becoming a member, but, if you know someone who is a member, you may be able to register as a secondary member.
