An Olympic Torch just sold for £153,300

Olympic Torch sells for £153,300 on ebay I personally find it pretty messed up. I wouldn't mind that kind of cash, but I just think it is a bit shady that they torch bearers are flogging their torch. It doesn't really square with why they would have been chosen or want to be the bearer in the first place... I guess everything is for sale these days. Kind of sad if you ask me...Is it just me who thinks this?

The woman who listed that torch was in tears after the abuse she's been sent about this.
The cash is going to her charity, isn't it?

According to the local website she is giving the money to the local charity that she supports.

Didn't see the report on Breakfast UnChartered....Thanks for the link DiscoDaisy....Friendly Yahoo didn't state anything about it going to charity unless I missed it though I did read it twice. I think if it is going to charity then that is great. Unfortunately, that won't be the case I don't think with everyone who is selling their torch from what I have read anyway. Regardless of whether or not it was going to charity for people to be so abusive is unacceptable. People can disagree with someone, have opinions and whatever else without being abusive for heavens sake!
