DH was working today and a lady walked in with her young son - DH did a complete double-take, this boy had the same hazel eyes, dark hair, long eyelashes, facial shape as our ds (he was probably a year older).

Even more strange, this boy and ds have the same name!

Funnily enough, yes! Last summer we were in Weymouth leaving a pub and walking across the carpark and I saw "my son" running in the opposite direction so I said to DH "go get J" and he said "he's here" and showed he was holding his hand Not only did they look the same, they were wearing the same clothes (wellies with shorts and long sleeved tops in the same colours). Very odd!

No, but there is a woman who is apparently the spit of me, who lives in my town, my sister has seen her a few times, and people often say to me they saw me somewhere, when I was'nt, I have never seen her though.

WigWamBam · 16/02/2006 22:02

Yes - dd has a doppelganger in her class at school. They are so alike that after their first day at school, the other girl's dad came quite close to taking my dd home! They could almost be twins.

Hattie05 · 16/02/2006 22:03

Yes, and then discovered they were related !

waterfalls · 16/02/2006 22:04

WWW
That reminds me of that advert where the dad brings the wrong boy home from school

WigWamBam · 16/02/2006 22:05

We haven't done it yet but it's a close thing ... I'm forever waving to the wrong one when they come along the corridors at home time!

janeite · 16/02/2006 22:28

Yes - visitng hospital for a check up for our youngest daughter, we were sitting next to our oldest dd who was then two and a half, when in she walked with "another mummy and daddy" dressed in exactly the same red coat and with exactly the same blonde curls. VERY odd - both sets of parents did a double take!

NannyL · 16/02/2006 22:31

My little charge and her best freind down the road look very very similar....

at the other little girls birthday party in the summer, her granny couldnt tell who was who....

although i agree they look similar i dont think I could ever mistake them, but lots of other people who dont know them so well do, and comment on how they could be twins...

they have very different personalities tho!!! (tho i a good way as most of the time they get on very well together!)

Miaou · 16/02/2006 22:34

Frogs' dd1 looks spookily like my dd1 but slightly older! I've got a picture of my dd1 wearing a top that used to belong to her dd1 just to add to the effect!

Angeliz · 16/02/2006 22:35

No but i had a row once with a DJ friend of mine i'd known for years. He was annoyed i'd not spoke to him the night before and had been right infront of him.
I hadn't gone out!! Spooky!

SueW · 16/02/2006 22:41

I saw my doppelganger in California last year. I was in the car; she was walking down the street. I felt sick and really spooked by it.

Kidstrack2 · 16/02/2006 23:19

Dp and I went to a family christening in Slough, Berks in 2004 and left our 2 kids in Scotland with grandparents, imagine our shock when at the meal a little boy same size, head shape and facial features passes our table and dp and I look at each other, he even had the same shirt on from Next that ds wears, it was totally surreal very weird it turned out it was dp's uncle who was there with his girlfriend and her ds ,with no blood connection whatsoever

threelittlebabies · 16/02/2006 23:30

Godson and his best friend next door. Always remember when boy next door's lovely grandfather was looking after him, heard a knock at door and left his grandson to open door to my godson, he said "Jesus X, how did you do that??!"

MrsSpoon · 16/02/2006 23:35

Yes, on holiday in Greece. We were in a supermarket, I turned round to see a little Greek boy standing behind us and immediately thought how did DS2 get out the buggy? Then I turned the other way to see DS2 still in the buggy and realised they were doubles, the Greek boy's Mum thought so too, she kept laughing and pointing at DS2 and her DS and gibbering away in Greek.

Hattie, that sounds like a bit of a story?

Lauraa83 · 17/02/2006 22:22

Here's an idea......... shall we all post pictures to see if any other mn'ers children have doubles - I will try and do mine now!

Please join in....

goldstarlover · 17/02/2006 22:24

CountessDracula · 17/02/2006 23:54

no but I once walked past my doppelganger in waterloo station years ago, we stared at each other in slo-mo but didn't stop and talk, it was v v odd

sparklymieow · 17/02/2006 23:56

we saw a little girl on holiday who was the double of dd1, she had the same hair style, and looked just like her, she even had the same glasses as dd1. It was scary....

stephanie21 · 18/02/2006 00:00

we were at school and waiting for school photos to be taken (wanted all of my brood done together).i sat next to my gp.her little boy was in my ds's nursey class.they both stood chatting, and gp said how much they looked alike.me and my big gob,i said 'god they do,we must have the same milkman!'she gave me the filthyiest of looks, and when i went for a blood test a few weeks later,im sure she stabbed me abit harder than usual!!

Hattie05 · 18/02/2006 00:15

It is Mrs Spoon. I met a lady, genuinely did not know there was any connection. Someone commented on how alike our children (her grandchild) were - overtime discovered, she is dp's aunt!!
