What to do with large collection of children's VHS videos

Any ideas what I can do with 70 plus children's videos? It seems sacrilege to take them to the tip. Most charity shops no longer accept them. Large collection. Many young children's classics. Hate to put them to waste but we no longer have a need for them.

All ideas much appreciated else I will have to take them to the dump. I live in N11 in London.

Baby Mozart/Shakespeare/bright
Teletubbies
Pingu
Maisy
Bob the builder
Barney
Lion king 1 and 3
Toy story 1 & 2
Pixar
Disney
Home alone
Et
Stuart little 2
Beethoven 1 & 2
Tom and jerry
Etc etc etc

Local hospital?

Ours uses videos in a&e and children's clinics.

Stick an advert for the job lot in local paper.

Shame I dOnt live closer to you I would have collected them-we have a VHS player at our caravan and you have some really good titles there!

Do charity shops definitely not take them?thats where we usually buy ours, but these are coastal charity shops so clientele are different I guess Grin

The a&e mentioned upthread seems a good idea-take it you've looked on eBay?

jigger · 13/05/2012 22:40

No eBay market. At least not for individual titles.

Freecycle. They'll bite your hands off for them. i had to fight them off when i did the same.

My dad has a machine that converts videos onto dvds, I'm trying to get him to convert all my old disneys onto dvd for my dcs.

He got it from cash converters pretty cheap.

All my local charity shops take children's videos but not adult ones any more - check.

XP's brother gave DS a load of disney DVDs converted from video, they look shit TBH. You might as well download them if you don't want to pay for them (pretty sure converting is as dodgy as downloading ones you already own in an obsolete format)
