I crossed the border to the land of neurosis again last night..

..and now I feel a bit silly.

DS (2.2) tripped up and banged his head on the corner of the table. His head doubled in size (yes really) and there was pints (if not more) of blood everywhere.

Was in A&E for several hours only to be sent home. I thought I'd got passed this. Why, why, why?

Another learning curve then. Will teach me never to become smug I suppose.

Feel silly cos ILs came round this morning and as we told them the story, big grins appeared on their faces as they gave each other knowing looks (had 4 kids and know everything of course), followed by the words 'Oh, he'll have worse than that in his time'.

Pints of blood? course you should've taken him!

I would have been panicking alot more than you and I think you did exactly the right thing. And as for the know it all ILs - arn't they irritating?

Maybe I should have added a couple of s into my OP.

My point is that it really wasnt that bad I suppose, yet I let myself get all wound up about it.
