taking dd back to docs today after first round of antibiotics havent sorted out her chest infection, shes strapped into er buggy, wrapped up with blankies..passing park when three labradors dogs come boling over.
in summer a labrador bounced up to dd bigger than her and tried to lick her..she was terrified and all the woman was botherd about was making me make my dd stroke him to know he was friendly!!never mind calm her down!
so who is the owner of the dogs today?? same woman.
they bounced straight over to dd(all off leads in childrens play park)and when she panicked i stood in front of her and shoo'ed them awy, whilst trying to calm dd, telling her they were just saying hello.

woman asked me what the hell i was doing!!ask said i need to let my dd be 'exposed' to them and let them lick her, and its because im like this, she's terified of them????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
aaaaaaaaarrrrrgggghhh
i must have one of those faces people think they can say/do what they want to me!

I'd have told her to f* off and tell her if she cannot control her animals she is the one being an unfit bloody carer!

Been there - sympathise totally. I have thought about this since and have decided if it happens again I will ask for person's details to report them for having an uncontrolled dog off its lead. They of course will not give their details, but it may make them think twice next time. If they dare argue with me, I will pull out my mobile and call the police. I too am so sick of these people.

i said to her tis because of her bloody dog that shes scared of them after it jumping up at her in the summer and she just said ' really'?...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrgh

i was so angry, but poor dd is sat there already upset after being face to face with the three mutts.

i just said i know whats best for my daughter..what a shitty argument..i wanted to tell her to go and stick her head up her RS andkeep her opinions to herself...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaarggghhh..you kow when you want to go searching and knocking on doors till you find em and say all the things you wish youd said but either couldnt(didnt want to upset dd or have slanging match infront of her and also im terrible at off the cuff witty comments..arrrrrggghhhh

My ds1 was greeted by an over enthusiastic dog when he was about 3 years old. It jumped up at him and, on his hind legs, was taller than ds1 himself. Since then, he has been scared of dogs, although I am a bit scared of them too so he might have always had a bit of an aversion. Anyway, the owner of that dog had the affrontery to tell me the reason his dog jumped up at little children (so it often does it, and you still don't attempt to control it eh?) was becasue children often encouraged him to do so. Cheek!

I had a similar problem in the park with a dog which came chasing around my dog and my kids who were terrified of the great beast. The owner said the dog was friendly but the dog was trying to take chucks out my little spaniel.
I was appalled by the owners reaction, I said how do I know your dog is friendly and obviously wasn't.
These owners make me sick there appears to be little respect for other dog owners or children.
I have taken to country walks now because I am so sick of these non0 caring dog owners. larsxx

thing is where i live is a very child friendly safe mainly quiet lane area and yes there are lots of people walking dogs, but all ,make sure they are on leads when they get close to someone.
dont get me wrong, i love dogs and we recently lost9sad0 two huking great bull mastiffs, but they lived with my mam and i never took dd to see them because they were over friendly..doesnt matter wether they are not going to rip your face off, a dog bigger than a toddler must be so scary..hope the woman has a dream she comes eyeball to eyeball with a big, huge monster dog tonight and when she looks close it has my head on and i bite the bitch on the RS!
