... if you don't change the filter of your water filter (brita or some such) as soon as the thingy starts flashing?
Currently one week over and pondering whether I'm slowly poisoning family...

Worst that can happen is that you save a few pence by replacing it late!

i'll let you know emkana. I've normally changed mine when i'm told to by the flashing light but as I dont have any in the cupboard and keep forgetting to buy any it's now about 10 days overdue. So far we're all still here and well although DD does have conjunctivitus. Dont think i used the water from the filter to clean her eyes though

Haven't changed the filter in my freezers water dispenser in three years and we haven't died yet. I reckon exposure is building up our immunity. That having been said the water is mostly mixed with strong liquor!
