Getting sick out of Little Bo

My DS puked all over his little bo. I have sort of sponged it down. Can't get it too wet as it's the one that nods its head and tells a story, but it stinks and the fur has gone all hard. What should I do to it.

Clean with bicarb to get rid of smell, then when dry clean again with fabric softener.

Sorry to sound thick but what should I use a J cloth or sponge or what. I want to save little Bo but am having thoughts about throwing it in next doors skip at the moment cos it stinks

I would use my fingers, not nice, but anything else might make the fur go matty.
