Fair enough, but children too, I think this is terrible, many parents will just not be able to offord the private fees, and even insurance could be too much for some families. This is coming into play early March, I need to sort out some dental insurance for DH and my 3 children, but unfortunately I have gum disease so no-one will insure me.

Forgot it is optional for all dentists whether they go private or not, but as far as I am aware, in my hometown they are all going private.

We couldn't get a dentist on NHS at all since moving into the city centre, and then again after moving to new house. In the centre DD got an NHS place as she had to have a referral to the children's dental hospital, but that was by chnace. Now we have just booked private, including for DD - no NHS option given for her there.
