Family friendly, not too expensive hotel in central London?

We're staying in London next week for one night (2 children, 2 and 5) Does anyone know any good hotels near the palladium if possible? Or good, child friendly eating places?

wagamama is a good place to go with kids(if you do not have one near you) Also I think that you will be not so far from china town?

try this for a hotel - they have special offers at the moment until 11th Jan 04. it is not walking distance to the palladium but would be a short tube journey with 1 change. go to here for a tube journey planner. agree with august's suggestions. you could also try this for a list of child friendly restaurants. they are on the pricey side though.
