Is there a phone number or website or something I can contact to shop someone with no car tax? There are three cars in my street without it and it really makes me . I've gone short sometimes on other things so I can pay mine and it pisses me off that other people get away with it.

If I did it I'd be caught the very first day, I know I would....

TIA

How long have they been parked there and do they get used? We once went 5 days without tax waiting for it to come through the post. And a neighbour of ours who was selling his car, had his tax expire but he didn't get it replaced because he was selling it (had a sign in it and he wasn't driving it) but someone shopped him.

Just be sure that you are shopping them for the right reasons and not because you feel all high and mighty.

Thank you ladies.

I don't think am being high and mighty - these people just cannot be arsed to pay their tax and think they'll get away with it. One of them had no tax for months and months last year and then at one point had a sign in the windscreen saying something along the lines of "spoken to a policeman and would get tax done after the bank holiday" (!)

If they're not paying tax then presumably they're not insured either which means all us sappy honest people end up paying more. It just really makes me . I don't particularly like paying it but I have to.

I certainly wouldn't dream of shopping anyone who had a note in like your neighbour, rhubarb. It's just these people, they think they can get away with it....

Excuse rant. I'm hormonal.

If they are using their cars then I would be angry too. But sometimes tax discs can be late, or the car is not being used, etc. I'd find out first cause if they get wind of you shopping them they wouldn't be very happy either!

I thought you have to have it taxed even if you were not using it now.

pisses me off too allyco...
if you aren't using a car then you should declare it sorn. you can't just not tax it just because you aren't using it...
